EcoX is the brand of EcoXperience, a Portuguese company built around a circular approach to everyday cleaning. Its registered seat is at HIESE, Quinta Vale do Espinhal in Penela, in the Coimbra district, and its offices are in the Vagos industrial zone, in the Aveiro district.
The idea is simple to state and harder to do. Used cooking oil is one of the most polluting kinds of household waste, and a single litre poured down the drain contaminates a very large volume of water. EcoX collects it and uses it as the raw material for its detergents, so a waste stream becomes an input instead of a problem.
The range covers laundry, dishes and general household cleaning, and the circular thinking carries through to the packaging. Bulk formats and refills reduce single-use plastic, and the company runs a container return and points scheme for customers who bring their bottles back.
For an office, the practical appeal is that the products do an ordinary job in an ordinary way, while the supply chain behind them is doing something measurably different.
